Reply your shadow, August 28th, 2008, 10:10 pm

how do you get you color looking so good here?

Reply Micchiru, August 28th, 2008, 11:21 pm

Here are the steps I took:

1. Go to Micheal's and find cheap ass colored pencils that refuse to be sharpened. (unless you have money)
2. Get nice pens. Nice pens that die fast but don't smear and wiggle. Ball points FAIL! (I use Sakura pens... 005 size. >_> I draw little.)
3. Sketch with any kind of pencil on any kind of paper if you're lazy and cheap like me.
4. Ink it with your pretty pens that aren't as expensive as you think.
5. Use your craptacular colored pencils. But don't just fill in. Make shadowzzz... You can do it with one color if you know how.
6. Scan.
7. ????
8. PROFIT!!

Or get photoshop and a tablet (on sale) and all your dreams will come true!!

I have Photoshop (Dad got a free copy from work, which is odd, considering he works for Sutherlands) and a tablet and my drawings don't look half as good as this. >.<

I wish I had neat inking pens. I use ballpoints. They do indeed fail. ;~;
